ATF Transfer Paperwork Filing Service

This service is designed for individuals who want Capitol Armory to handle the ATF transfer paperwork from one party to another. It is particularly beneficial for those looking to transfer items to a trust from an individual or for buyers purchasing from a private party who wish to avoid the complexities of ATF paperwork.

To minimize errors, we recommend providing a scanned copy of the previously approved Form 4, which should include the make, model, and serial number (SN#) of the firearm. Capitol Armory will coordinate the collection of fingerprints, photos, and digital signatures, and will assemble and mail the Form 4 packet to the ATF on your behalf. A fee of $200 per packet is charged to cover the ATF transfer tax.

The approved Form 4 will be sent to the transferor's address as listed on the form. Once received, the firearm can legally be transferred to the transferee as specified. If you are transferring a suppressor from an individual to a trust, the individual can possess and use the suppressor while it is pending transfer to the trust.

The $59.95 service is intended for existing customers transferring from forms approved to them to a trust owned by them.  If this item is being transferred to a second party, there is an additional $40 charge.  For non-existing NFA customers, the service incurs an additional $55 for set-up.   If you fall into one of these categories, give us a call, and we can place the order over the phone for you.
