Liberty Precision Machine Suppressor Buying Guide
Every current Liberty Precision Machine (LPM) suppressor we carry, from the steel Anthem 2 and titanium Mach families to the Torch and Duty 5.56: what each one is for, steel vs. titanium, how the HUB mount and LPM muzzle devices work, and what PEW Science and the Silencer Summit measured.
How to Choose a Liberty Precision Suppressor
Liberty Precision Machine, or LPM, builds its suppressors around a clear list of priorities: the most sound reduction for a given length, the most strength for a given weight, no effect on accuracy, low visible flash, and low blowback on gas guns. The lineup comes down to four families:
- Anthem 2: 17-4 stainless steel .30 cal suppressors in three lengths (K2, S2 and L2), plus the .375 caliber Anthem-38 V2. Full-auto rated.
- Mach: the titanium versions of the Anthem 2, in the same three lengths (K, S and L). Same baffle stack, less weight.
- Torch: built for gas guns and short barrels. The Torch covers 5.56 and 6mm, and the Torch 7.62 covers gas guns up to .30 cal, including 300 BLK and 7.62x39.
- Duty 5.56: a simplified Torch at a lower price and a smaller size.
Every LPM suppressor in this guide uses the HUB (1.375x24) rear thread, so it runs on LPM's mounts and other makers' HUB mounts, and each one ships with a direct thread mount. Pick the job first, then the suppressor:
- One .30 cal suppressor for most rifles: the Anthem-S2 (steel) or Mach-S (titanium).
- Most suppression on a .30 cal: the Anthem-L2 or Mach-L.
- Shortest .30 cal: the Anthem-K2 or Mach-K.
- Big bore up to .375: the Anthem-38 V2.
- 5.56 and 6mm on an AR, especially an SBR: the Torch or the lower-priced Duty 556.
- 300 BLK and 7.62x39 gas guns: the Torch 762.
Every LPM suppressor carries a lifetime warranty against defects in workmanship and materials. And LPM is one of the best values we carry: see Why LPM below.
Top-Tier Suppression for the Price
Liberty Precision is one of the best-value suppressor brands we carry. When LPM redesigned the Anthem, the goal was better performance, lighter weight and a lower price, and independent testing shows it got there. You get suppression that scores with premium suppressors, a lifetime warranty and full-auto rated steel models, for less than many competitors charge.
Steel Anthem 2: premium results for less
- The Anthem-K2 is one of the lower-priced .30 cal suppressors we carry, and the Anthem-S2 costs less than most of them.
- At the 2024 Silencer Summit, the Anthem-L2 tied for 3rd quietest of 92 suppressors on a 16 in. 5.56 AR. On both 5.56 and subsonic 300 BLK, it read quieter than a titanium suppressor that costs hundreds more on our site.
- The Anthem-S2 read quieter on a 20 in. .308 bolt gun than titanium suppressors that cost hundreds more, and PEW Science found its subsonic 300 BLK performance similar to several well-known suppressors, including one that costs nearly twice as much on our site.
Titanium Mach: less weight, still a value
- The Mach-L costs less than most full-size titanium .30 cal suppressors we carry, and PEW Science rated it 53.5 on .308 and 72.8 on subsonic 300 BLK.
- On .308, PEW Science found the Mach-L's muzzle signature reduction second only to a 3D printed titanium suppressor that costs more on our site.
5.56 for less
The Duty 556 is one of the lower-priced 5.56 suppressors we carry, and it's still full-auto rated and good on barrels as short as 7.5 in.
Which Liberty Precision Suppressor Should You Buy?
Here's where we'd point you based on how you'll use it. Each pick links to the full breakdown further down the page.
All-around .30 cal, steel
Anthem-S2
6.85 in. and 14.2 oz, full-auto rated, and priced below most .30 cal suppressors we carry.
Most suppression, steel
Anthem-L2
9.1 in. and full-auto rated. Tied for 3rd quietest of 92 on a 5.56 AR at the 2024 Silencer Summit, ahead of a titanium suppressor that costs hundreds more.
Most suppression, titanium
Mach-L
11.9 oz. PEW Science rated it 53.5 on .308 and 72.8 on subsonic 300 BLK, for less than most full-size titanium suppressors we carry.
Short .30 cal, steel
Anthem-K2
5.5 in. and full-auto rated. One of the lower-priced .30 cal suppressors we carry.
5.56 and 6mm SBR
Torch
Low backpressure with solid and vented end caps included. 7.5 in. minimum barrel.
Anthem 2 vs. Mach
The Anthem 2 and Mach families share the same baffle stack. PEW Science, which tested both, considers the Mach series identical to the Anthem 2 series other than the material. So the choice comes down to weight, rapid fire and price:
| Anthem-K2 | Mach-K | Anthem-S2 | Mach-S | Anthem-L2 | Mach-L | |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Material | 17-4 stainless | Titanium | 17-4 stainless | Titanium | 17-4 stainless | Titanium |
| Length (no mount) | 5.5 in. | 5.5 in. | 6.85 in. | 6.85 in. | 9.1 in. | 9.1 in. |
| Weight (no mount) | 11.8 oz | 7.4 oz | 14.2 oz | 9.0 oz | 18.8 oz | 11.9 oz |
| Full-auto rated | Yes | No | Yes | No | Yes | No |
- Anthem 2 (steel): full-auto rated, no barrel length restrictions on .30 cal and smaller, and costs less. Pick it for gas guns, select-fire and high round counts.
- Mach (titanium): about a third lighter. Pick it for bolt guns and rifles you carry. LPM recommends a muzzle brake on barrels shorter than 14.5 in.
All six are 1.74 in. in diameter, rated for .30 cal and smaller, and ship with a 5/8x24 Rearden DTA Ti direct thread adapter. The front end cap comes off with a 3/4 in. socket.
What PEW Science and the Silencer Summit Measured
LPM's .30 cal suppressors have tested well in both PEW Science reviews and the Silencer Summit:
- Mach-L, SSS.6.163: a Suppression Rating of 53.5 on a 20 in. .308 bolt gun. PEW Science called it a lightweight full-size suppressor that "demonstrates extremely high performance."
- Mach-L, SSS.6.164: a Suppression Rating of 72.8 on an 8 in. 300 BLK with subsonic ammo, and a muzzle Suppression Rating of 71.3, the highest muzzle result PEW Science had published when it was tested in October 2024.
- Anthem-S2 QD, SSS.6.170 and SSS.6.171: 46.9 on .308 and 68.4 on subsonic 300 BLK, which PEW Science called "extremely high suppression performance for its length."
- 2024 Silencer Summit: the Anthem-L2 tied for the 3rd lowest reading of 92 suppressor setups on a 16 in. 5.56 AR, and tied for 11th of 96 on a 20 in. .308 bolt gun.
Because the Anthem 2 and Mach share the same baffle stack, PEW Science's results for one point to how the other performs. Results for each model are in its section below. See the 2024 Silencer Summit results.
Liberty Precision .30 Cal Suppressors: Anthem 2 and Mach
All rated for .30 cal and smaller, all 1.74 in. in diameter, and all shipping with a 5/8x24 Rearden DTA Ti direct thread adapter. Shop all .30 cal suppressors.
Liberty Precision Anthem-K2
The Anthem-K2 is the shortest Anthem 2: 5.5 in. of 17-4 stainless steel, rated for .30 cal and smaller and full-auto rated, for short-barreled builds where length matters.
Length: 5.5 in. (5.65 in. with mount) | Weight: 11.8 oz (12.6 oz with mount) | Caliber: .30 cal and smaller | Diameter: 1.74 in. | Material: 17-4 stainless | Mount: HUB (1.375x24) | Full-auto: Yes | Barrel limits: None on .30 cal and smaller
It's the lowest-priced LPM .30 cal suppressor, and one of the lower-priced .30 cal suppressors we carry.
Independent test results
2024 Silencer Summit: The Anthem-K2 read 139.3 dBA on the MIL-STD microphones on a 20 in. .308 bolt gun, tied for 43rd of 96 and in the quieter half on that rifle. Thunder Beast Arms hosted and scored this test. See the results
Liberty Precision Anthem-S2
The Anthem-S2 is the mid-size Anthem 2 and LPM's all-around .30 cal suppressor: 6.85 in., 14.2 oz, full-auto rated and good on bolt guns and gas guns alike.
Length: 6.85 in. (7.0 in. with mount) | Weight: 14.2 oz (15.0 oz with mount) | Caliber: .30 cal and smaller | Diameter: 1.74 in. | Material: 17-4 stainless | Mount: HUB (1.375x24) | Full-auto: Yes | Barrel limits: None on .30 cal and smaller
It costs less than most .30 cal suppressors we carry, and in testing it keeps up with suppressors that cost far more.
Independent test results
PEW Science: Tested the QD version (SSS.6.170, SSS.6.171): 46.9 on a 20 in. .308 bolt gun and 68.4 on an 8 in. 300 BLK with subsonic ammo, and wrote that it "demonstrates extremely high suppression performance for its length."
2024 Silencer Summit: The Anthem-S2 read 134.4 dBA on the MIL-STD microphones on a 16 in. 5.56 AR, tied for 14th of 92, and 135.7 dBA on a 20 in. .308 bolt gun, 20th of 96. Thunder Beast Arms hosted and scored this test. See the results
Liberty Precision Anthem-L2
The Anthem-L2 is the full-size Anthem 2, for the most suppression in the steel family. It's 9.1 in., full-auto rated, and has no barrel length restrictions on .30 cal and smaller.
Length: 9.1 in. (9.25 in. with mount) | Weight: 18.8 oz (19.6 oz with mount) | Caliber: .30 cal and smaller | Diameter: 1.74 in. | Material: 17-4 stainless | Mount: HUB (1.375x24) | Full-auto: Yes | Barrel limits: None on .30 cal and smaller
It shares the Mach-L's baffle stack in 17-4 stainless steel, so you trade some weight for full-auto durability and a lower price. On 5.56 and subsonic 300 BLK at the Summit, it read quieter than a titanium suppressor that costs hundreds more on our site.
Independent test results
2024 Silencer Summit: The Anthem-L2 read 133.5 dBA on the MIL-STD microphones on a 16 in. 5.56 AR, tied for 3rd lowest of the 92 suppressor setups on that rifle. It also tied for 11th of 96 on a 20 in. .308 bolt gun (133.9 dBA) and tied for 15th of 62 on a 16 in. 300 BLK AR with subsonic ammo (127.9 dBA). Thunder Beast Arms hosted and scored this test. Length: 6.85 in. (7.0 in. with mount) | Weight: 9.0 oz (9.8 oz with mount) | Caliber: .30 cal and smaller | Diameter: 1.74 in. | Material: Titanium | Mount: HUB (1.375x24) | Barrel limits: None on .30 cal and smaller; brake recommended under 14.5 in.
PEW Science considers it the titanium twin of the Anthem-S2 it tested (46.9 on .308, 68.4 on subsonic 300 BLK).
Liberty Precision Mach-L
The Mach-L is the full-size titanium Mach, built for the most suppression at 11.9 oz. It's the Anthem-L2's baffle stack in titanium.
Length: 9.1 in. (9.25 in. with mount) | Weight: 11.9 oz (12.7 oz with mount) | Caliber: .30 cal and smaller | Diameter: 1.74 in. | Material: Titanium | Mount: HUB (1.375x24) | Barrel limits: None on .30 cal and smaller; brake recommended under 14.5 in.

Liberty Precision Torch
The Torch is LPM's 5.56 and 6mm suppressor for AR-15s, built for low blowback to the shooter with a high level of muzzle suppression. It ships with a solid end cap and a vented flash-hiding end cap, so you can bias it toward muzzle suppression or toward less gas in your face.
Caliber: Up to 6mm | Length: 6.2 in. | Weight: 14.0 oz | Diameter: 1.75 in. | Material: 17-4 stainless | Mount: HUB (1.375x24) | Ships with: DLC titanium 1/2x28 direct thread adapter; solid and vented end caps | Full-auto: Yes | Barrel minimum: 7.5 in.
The nested blast baffle adds strength and cuts baffle erosion on short barrels. LPM also offers a QD version.
Independent test results
PEW Science: On a 10.3 in. MK18 (SSS.6.126), it earned a Suppression Rating of 35.9 with the solid end cap and 29.8 with the vented cap. PEW Science noted its "high gross suppression performance" and that its gas dynamics "allow for less over function of the AR-15 platform."
Liberty Precision Duty 556
The Duty 5.56 is a simplified Torch at a lower price and a smaller size: 5.1 in. and 11.7 oz, rated up to 6mm and full-auto rated.
Caliber: Up to 6mm | Length: 5.1 in. | Weight: 11.7 oz | Diameter: 1.75 in. | Mount: HUB (1.375x24) | Ships with: DLC titanium 1/2x28 direct thread adapter | Full-auto: Yes | Barrel minimum: 7.5 in.
It's the lowest-priced LPM 5.56 suppressor and one of the lower-priced 5.56 suppressors we carry. LPM recommends against running it on a CAT Spooky 1 flash hider.
Liberty Precision Torch 762
The Torch 7.62 takes the Torch idea up to .30 cal for gas guns: 300 BLK SBRs, 7.62x39 AKs, 6 ARC and 5.56. It manages the first surge of gas to cut bolt speed and port pop, then restricts flow for muzzle suppression, with minimal first round pop.
Caliber: Up to 7.62mm | Length: 6.9 in. | Weight: 18.9 oz | Diameter: 1.75 in. | Material: Inconel 718 | Mount: HUB (1.375x24) | Full-auto: Yes | Barrel limits: None
The direct thread version ships with a 5/8x24 Rearden DTA Ti. The QD version ships with a Rearden Atlas QD mount, an LPM Eclipse flash hider in 1/2x28 and an LPM Liberty Bell brake in 5/8x24, so it's ready for a 1/2x28 rifle and a 5/8x24 rifle out of the box. A two-stage end cap keeps flash down.

Liberty Precision Mounts and Muzzle Devices
Every LPM suppressor has a HUB (1.375x24) rear thread, so it runs on LPM's mounts and HUB mounts from other makers, like Dead Air's KeyMo and Xeno, SilencerCo's ASR and Q's Plan-B.
Direct Thread Mount
The LPM Direct Thread Mount fits any HUB suppressor. We carry it in 1/2x28, 5/8x24 and 5/8x24 Sig taper, in black or raw.
Eclipse and Liberty Bell
LPM's two muzzle devices fit .900-24 suppressor mounts like the Rearden Atlas, Q's Plan-B and the EA Project E. Both have a .30 cal bore, are machined from 17-4 stainless heat treated to H900, weigh under 2 oz, measure 1.7 in. and need no shims or timing. They install with a 13/16 in. wrench.
- Eclipse flash hider: cuts flash when you shoot without a suppressor, and serves as a sacrificial blast baffle when you shoot with one.
- Liberty Bell muzzle brake: a compact brake that doubles as a suppressor mount.

Liberty Precision Suppressor FAQ
What is the best Liberty Precision suppressor?
It depends on the rifle. For one .30 cal suppressor across most rifles, the Anthem-S2 (steel) or Mach-S (titanium). For the most suppression, the Anthem-L2 or Mach-L. For the shortest .30 cal, the Anthem-K2 or Mach-K. For 5.56 and 6mm SBRs, the Torch or Duty 5.56. For 300 BLK and 7.62x39 gas guns, the Torch 7.62.
Is Liberty Precision a good value?
Yes, it's one of the best-value brands we carry. The Anthem-K2 is one of the lower-priced .30 cal suppressors we carry, and at the 2024 Silencer Summit the Anthem-L2 tied for 3rd quietest of 92 on a 5.56 AR, quieter than a titanium suppressor that costs hundreds more. The titanium Mach-L costs less than most full-size titanium .30 cal suppressors and earned PEW Science ratings of 53.5 on .308 and 72.8 on subsonic 300 BLK.
What is the difference between the Anthem 2 and the Mach?
Material. The Mach series uses the same baffle stack and lengths as the Anthem 2, in titanium instead of 17-4 stainless steel. The Mach is about a third lighter; the Anthem 2 is full-auto rated and costs less.
What is the difference between the Anthem-K2, S2 and L2?
Length and suppression. The K2 is 5.5 in., the S2 is 6.85 in. and the L2 is 9.1 in. All three are 17-4 stainless, rated for .30 cal and smaller and full-auto rated.
How did the Mach-L do in PEW Science testing?
It earned a Suppression Rating of 53.5 on a 20 in. .308 bolt gun and 72.8 on an 8 in. 300 BLK with subsonic ammo. Its 71.3 muzzle Suppression Rating with subsonic 300 BLK was the highest muzzle result PEW Science had published as of October 2024.
What is the difference between the Torch and the Duty 5.56?
The Duty 5.56 is a simplified Torch at a lower price and a smaller size: 5.1 in. and 11.7 oz vs. 6.2 in. and 14.0 oz. The Torch includes both solid and vented end caps. Both are rated up to 6mm, full-auto rated and good on barrels as short as 7.5 in.
What mounts work with Liberty Precision suppressors?
Every LPM suppressor uses the HUB (1.375x24) rear thread, so it takes LPM's direct thread mount and HUB mounts from other makers. LPM's Eclipse and Liberty Bell muzzle devices fit .900-24 mounts like the Rearden Atlas and Q's Plan-B.
Can I buy an LPM suppressor that isn't on your site?
Yes. Buy it on LPM's website and choose "Ship to My Door via Capitol Armory." We handle the ATF paperwork, eForm 4 and delivery to your door.
What warranty do Liberty Precision suppressors have?
LPM's lifetime warranty covers defects in workmanship and materials. It covers everything except willful destruction and normal wear and tear.
