Quick Overview

AN IMPROVED CLEAR SIGHT PICTURE

The SilencerCo Osprey 45 2.0 uses a monocore baffle design inside a polygonal housing, allowing users to maintain their existing factory sights while maintaining the benefits of a larger internal volume. A patented push-button locking system enables the SilencerCo Osprey to index to the correct position and retain that position between mounting and removal. In addition to pistol cartridges, the SilencerCo Osprey is rated for subsonic 300 Blackout ammunition. Using the SilencerCo Osprey on a fixed barrel, such as an AR-15, requires using a fixed barrel spacer.

The high performance and multi-caliber capabilities of the SilencerCo Osprey make it one of the most popular silencers on the market today. The SilencerCo Osprey features a unique booster, or Nielsen device, allowing proper cycling with all relevant semi-automatic handguns. All versions of the Osprey utilize the same booster dimensions so that the user can interchange the piston portion for different calibers or thread specifications.

Version 2.0 has updated the indexing system to be faster and more reliable. Instead of the previous cam lever, the 2.0 uses a button to retract the internal locking mechanism. This allows the silencer to be indexed freely and quickly.

Model #SU12

CAPITOL ARMORY'S OPINION

The Osprey 45 isn't the newest pistol suppressor, but to many, it remains one of the best-sounding pistol silencers on the market. Not only is it quiet, but it has a very pleasant tone. Its unique profile offers a better sight picture than many traditionally shaped cans. Most of the Osprey's weight is near the rear of the suppressor, making it feel even lighter once mounted to a pistol. While you can use fixed barrel spaces to mount the Osprey on fixed-barrel firearms such as a CZ Scorpion or 9mm AR, the Osprey 45 is best suited on handguns. The release of the Osprey 45 2.0 takes the iconic aspects of the original and puts them into a more sleek package. The cam-lever is a thing of the past and has been replaced by a simple button. Press in to rotate and index, then release to lock the silencer into place.
