HIGH PERFORMANCE, SECONDARY RETENTION
The Thunder Beast 338 ULTRA SR is an evolution of the TBAC 338 Ultra. The ULTRA SR retains the same level of accuracy, durability, and performance of the BA mounted 338 ULTRA. The largest difference is the SR (Secondary Retention) mounting system. The Ultra 338 SR attaches to a new TBAC 338 SR muzzle brake, and features a newly added locking collar to ensure a strong lockup in adverse conditions.
Like other TBAC Ultra suppressors, titanium is utilized to achieve an extremely light weight suppressor. The fully-welded core maintains an extremely high strength to weight ratio, allowing the 338 ULTRA SR to handle more abuse than your precision rifle could throw at it.
CAPITOL ARMORY'S OPINION
For suppressing .338, Thunder Beast's 338 Ultra has been the top-tier option for some time. It's repeatable POI, lack of accuracy degradation, light weight build, and exception performance have made it hard to beat. The 338 ULTRA SR is no different. It retains the strong points of the 338 ULTRA, but features a newly designed muzzle brake and secondary retention collar. The 338 ULTRA certainly was not prone to coming loose, however in harsh conditions where the rifle may withstand a substantial amount of abuse, the SR adds additional security to the mounting system. For shooters looking for a top-tier 338 suppressor with additional retention, the TBAC 338 ULTRA SR should be a very strong consideration.
