TUBELESS 5.56 SUPPRESSION

The Explorr series from Griffin Armament was built around a decade of research and development.  The tubeless design provides the optimal strength to weight ratio, allowing for a stronger can without the unnecessary ounces.  This translates to a smaller point of impact shift, and less fatigue when transporting equipment.  The Explorr 224 is hearing safe in all calibers it's rated for.  On a 16" AR-15, the muzzle report was reduced to 134 dB.  

Although the Explorr 224 is full-auto rated with no barrel length restrictions, extremely short barrels will reduce the service life of the suppressor.


CAPITOL ARMORY'S OPINION

The Explorr 224 is Griffin's offering to the light-weight tubeless designs currently popular.  This maximizes internal volume and allows for significant weight reduction.  At only 11.6 ounces, it's lighter than most suppressors on the market, and certainly lighter than almost all in it's class.  The taper mount design allows it to move easily between rifles as well.  The Exploor 224 is ideal for things like predator hunting where smaller calibers are common and weight matters.  With all this, it still comes in at a lesser price point than many other offerings.
